Matched Betting Calculator
Works out the lay stake needed on an exchange to cover a bookmaker back bet, so the result is close to the same either way - the standard way of turning free bets and offers into cash.
The two profit figures should land close to each other - that's what "matched" means. Small gaps are normal due to odds movement between placing the back and lay bets.

How to use this calculator
- Choose Qualifying bet if you're staking your own money, or Free bet (SNR) if you're unlocking a stake-not-returned free bet.
- Enter your back stake, the bookmaker's back odds, and the exchange's lay odds.
- Enter the exchange's commission rate (Betfair is typically 2-5% depending on your account).
- Place the lay stake shown on the exchange - the two profit figures should land close to each other.
What matched betting is
Matched betting backs a selection with a bookmaker and lays the same selection (bets against it) on an exchange, in stakes sized so the result is close to break-even whichever way the bet goes. It's the standard method for converting free bet offers and bookmaker promotions into real, extractable cash rather than betting them outright and hoping.
