Terms of Service

This page sets out the terms in plain English. It has not been reviewed by a solicitor - worth getting that done given this is a paid subscription business, but the terms below are genuine and intended to be relied on in the meantime.

1. Who we are

The Racing Yard ("we", "us") provides betting tips, analysis and betting-related tools for UK & Irish horse racing via our website and Telegram. We are not a bookmaker, betting exchange, or licensed gambling operator - we do not accept bets or handle stakes. Nothing we publish is financial or betting advice.

2. Eligibility

Our service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. By using the site, the free Telegram channel, or VIP, you confirm you are at least 18. We may restrict or remove access if we reasonably believe this isn't the case.

3. Free channel

The free Telegram channel is open to anyone who accepts our group rules and terms. No payment or account is required. We may change what's posted there, or close the channel, at any time.

4. VIP subscription

VIP is a recurring subscription (monthly or yearly, as shown at checkout) billed automatically until cancelled. Payment is processed securely by Stripe - we never see or store your full card details.
Subscribing gives you access to the private VIP Telegram channel and any VIP-only tools on the site, for as long as your subscription stays active.
You can cancel at any time by contacting hello@thebettingyard.com. Cancelling stops future billing; it does not automatically refund the current billing period unless required by law or agreed by us.
We don't offer refunds for partial periods or for not using the service, except where required by UK consumer law. If something's gone wrong on our end, get in touch - we'll sort it out.
Your VIP access and invite link are personal to you. Do not share, resell, or transfer your subscription or Telegram access to anyone else - we may revoke access without refund if this happens.

5. Tips and content

All tips, selections, staking guidance and analysis are our opinion, based on our own research. They are not a guarantee of any outcome. Past results don't predict future ones. You are solely responsible for any betting decisions you make - only bet what you can afford to lose. See our Responsible Gambling page.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use our channels to spam, promote competing tipster services, harass other members, or share access that isn't yours. We can remove anyone from the free or VIP channels for breaching these terms or our group rules, and may revoke VIP access without refund for serious or repeated breaches.

7. Liability

We provide our service "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any losses arising from bets you place based on our content, or from Telegram or payment-provider outages outside our control. Nothing here limits liability that can't be excluded under UK law, such as for death, personal injury, or fraud.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally, e.g. to reflect changes to VIP or the law. We'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
