Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• If you create a free account: your email address, so you can sign in with a one-click link (no password) and use the free tools. Stored with our database provider, Supabase; the sign-in emails themselves are sent via our email provider, Resend.
• If you subscribe to VIP: your email address and payment details, collected and processed by Stripe on our behalf - we never see or store your full card number.
• If you connect Telegram: your Telegram user ID and username, so we can link your subscription to your VIP access and message you about it.
• If you tick the marketing checkbox at checkout: we keep your email on a list for tips, offers and updates. This is entirely optional and separate from your VIP access.
• Age confirmation: a flag stored in your browser's local storage when you confirm you're 18+, so we don't ask again. Nothing is sent to us when you do this.

We do not currently use analytics, tracking cookies, or advertising pixels on this site.

2. Why we collect it

To deliver the service you've paid for (VIP channel access), to communicate with you about your subscription, and - only with your explicit consent - to send marketing emails. We rely on "performance of a contract" as the legal basis for the first two, and "consent" for marketing emails.

3. Who we share it with

• Stripe - processes your payment and stores your card details under their own security standards (PCI-DSS Level 1).
• Telegram - your user ID/username is used to send you messages and manage your VIP channel access.
• Supabase - stores your account email address and handles sign-in.
• Resend - sends the sign-in and account emails on our behalf.
• Vercel and Cloudflare - our hosting and infrastructure providers, who process data only to run the site and bot, not for their own purposes.

We don't sell your data, and don't share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your account and membership records for as long as your account exists or you have an active or past VIP subscription, so we can handle support queries and meet our own accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see "Your rights" below). If you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we stop emailing you but may keep a record that you opted out, so we don't email you again by mistake.

5. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. To do any of this, or to unsubscribe from marketing emails, contact hello@thebettingyard.com. If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
