How We Pick Our Tips: Our Process, Explained

Most tipster accounts ask you to trust them on faith. We'd rather show you the actual process - and, more importantly, show you what happens after the tip goes out, win or lose.

What we actually look at

Before we put a horse forward as a tip, we work through the same core factors a serious form student would look at for any race:

• Recent form - not just wins and losses, but how a horse has been running: staying on, fading, travelling well but not finishing it off.
• Going and course suitability - some horses are proven on soft ground and hopeless on quick ground, or vice versa. Course form matters too, particularly on tricky tracks.
• Class and race type - is the horse dropping in class off a good run, or stepping up and unproven at the level?
• Jockey and trainer - booking patterns, yard form, and jockey/trainer combinations that have a track record together.
• Market moves - significant shortening or drifting in the market before a race often reflects information we don't have access to directly (yard confidence, gallops, weather changes) and is a genuine input, not something to ignore.

None of this guarantees a winner - nothing does, and we'll never pretend otherwise. It's about finding bets where we think the price on offer is better than the horse's real chance of winning.

Why every tip gets tracked, no exceptions

The part that actually separates a serious tipping operation from most of what's on Telegram: every tip we publish gets logged and tracked, whether it wins, loses, or gets voided - published on our public P/L Tracker at level stakes, so nothing is quietly left out of the numbers.

That's a deliberate design choice, not a marketing line. A lot of tipster accounts online post their wins loudly and let their losses scroll away unmentioned - it's easy to look good that way, and impossible to verify. We'd rather you could go and check the actual record yourself, including the runs that didn't come off.

What we're building to make this better

We're not claiming to have this fully solved. We're actively building a proper racing data warehouse behind the scenes - pulling structured data on horses, jockeys, trainers, courses, and results, with the long-term goal of using it to spot patterns a purely manual process might miss (course/going win rates, jockey-trainer strike rates, that kind of thing). That project is still in its early data-gathering stage, not yet feeding live tips - when it starts influencing selections, we'll say so here, not quietly change the process and let the tracker speak for itself.

What this means for you

• You don't have to take our word for the record - the tracker is public and updates as results come in.
